Self-catering and unfenced, The Barnhouse is set around 6km from Mongena Main Lodge in an exclusive, remote wildlife-rich region of Mongena Private Game Reserve. The Barnhouse comprises two en-suite rooms with showers and toilet. Each has a king-size double bed which can convert to a single configuration.
One of the bedrooms has an additional single bed. Bedlinen, towels and stand-alone fans are provided in both bedrooms. The fully equipped open plan kitchen is shared with the lounge leading onto a spacious patio overlooking the rolling plains of the northern section of the Reserve. A free-standing gas heater is positioned in the open plan lounge for those cold winter nights. The scullery area has a fridge/freezer combination with a microwave, kettle and thermo-fan oven/hob in the kitchen.
The lounge boasts a flat-screen television with DSTV channels. The lapa/braai area is situated adjacent to the covered patio. The house is solar powered. Firewood and ice can be pre-ordered at an additional cost. A daily cleaning service can be requested at no extra charge.
PLEASE NOTE: Check-in is at Mongena Main Lodge with safe guest parking. Guests are not allowed to traverse the area in their own vehicles. Guests will be escorted to the location from Mongena Main Lodge. Transfers/Escorts not related to activities and/or check-in/checkout will be charged for.
