MONGENA EDUCATES LOCAL KIDS ABOUT NATURE CONSERVATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS

During the July school holidays, 200 vulnerable children and 50 elderley were treated to game drives in the free roaming Big 5 Dinokeng Game Reserve. For most of the children and their grandparents it was their first encounter with the free roaming wildlife living on their doorstep. They were educated in wildlife conservation, littering and animal identification followed by some practical experience on the open safari game vehicles guided by Mongena's professional field rangers and trackers.  Everyone was treated to a sumptuous lunch at the Fish Eagle Boathouse venue next to Mongena‚Äôs 28 hectare dam. The children also took part in the eco-dart challenge quiz which further enhanced their knowledge of wildlife.  The event was co-sponsored by Bidvest Food Services, one of the trusted suppliers of Mongena.
